“That was really good, really inspiring,” said the late, great Anthony Bourdain on his visit to Lost Creek Farm for CNN’s Parts Unknown.

Local bison rancher Riffle Farms and Appalachian culinary masters Mike Costello and Amy Dawson of Lost Creek Farm (featured on Anthony Bourdain’s show) will be hosting a Farm-To-Table pop-up dinner event on September 21, 2019 at Riffle Farms in Terra Alta, WV at 5:30pm.

The meal will feature bison meat from Riffle Farms and produce from local farmers.  Also featured: live music by LoganTown, cider from WV-brewer Swilled Dog, a silent auction, and a hayride from parking lot up to and from the event barn. All proceeds from the silent auction and five percent of ticket prices will be donated to the WV Agri-Women.

Riffle Farms is a small, artisan farm in Terra Alta, WV raising 100% grass-fed and finished bison. They are certified Homegrown By Heros by the Veteran Farmers Coalition, and also proud to be certified WV Grown.

Chefs Costello and Dawson have taken Lost Creek Farm’s travelling kitchen across the Eastern United States for dozens of sold-out culinary-roadshows where they share stories about Appalachia’s rich cultural heritage through its cuisine.

The bison herd will be pastured next to the event barn that evening, with only a gate between your table and these amazing beasts! Come check out the animals, eat, mingle, and support!

Please note: Parking will be off site at the small Methodist church on Saltlick Rd, just below The Farm’s driveway. A hayride will pick up guests every 20 mins starting at 4:40pm until 5:20pm and drop guests back off from 7:40pm until 8:20pm.  Please contact organizers for accessibility information.

Farm-to-table (also called farm-to-fork) is a social movement that promotes serving local food as a way of supporting small farms, increasing the nutritional value of food, lowering food transportation costs, and increasing community connections by promoting relations between growers and consumers.  The movement has been growing in popularity in WV, where we have one of the largest numbers of small farms in the country and the largest number of family operated farms.

It is expected to be a sell-out event, so please purchase your tickets ASAP. Tickets are $100 each. They can be purchased at www.rifflefarms.com/book-online.
