Charleston, W.Va. – Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC is pleased to announce that Katharine Walter Payne has joined the firm as an Associate.

Payne’s primary areas of practice are federal taxation, estate planning and corporate law. Prior to joining the firm, Payne was practicing with a Florida law firm.

She received her B.A., summa cum laude, in 2000 from Fairmont State College. She received her J.D., cum laude, in 2004 from Florida State University and her LL.M. in Taxation in 2009 from the University of Florida.
