CHH Vice President of Medical Affairs to present WV medical staffs at national meeting

Hoyt Burdick, MD, MMM, CPE, Vice President for Medical Affairs at Cabell Huntington Hospital, was recently elected by the West Virginia Medical Association to represent physicians and medical staffs of West Virginia at the annual American Medical Association meeting in June.

Dr. Burdick was elected to serve as the West Virginia Chair of the Organized Medical Staff Section of the American Medical Association. The group serves as an advocate, voice and resource for physicians who are members of hospital medical staffs and other organizations. Dr. Burdick also recently completed his renewal of a Certificate of Added Qualification in Critical Care Medicine for the period 2009-2019 from the American Board of Internal Medicine. During this process, Dr. Burdick obtained more than 400 hours of continuing medical education credits from the American Medical Association and was awarded the association’s highest level physician recognition award for continuing medical education.
